D-Day, a Cinedigm film, covers the fascinating story of the battle of Pointe du Hoc, an Army Ranger mission that greatly impacted the success of Operation Overlord.
Weston Cage Coppola, who is the son of Nicholas Cage, takes on the role of Lt. Col. James Earl Rudder, and Jesse Kove, who is the son of Martin Kove, portrays 1st SGT Lommell. Both had outstanding performances.
Worth noting, also, is the fact that the two grew up childhood friends — both went to Beverly Hills High School — and they were both cast in D-Day together unknowingly.
Bottom line, here at Commyounicate, we give the movie two enthusiastic thumbs up. D-Day truly allows viewers to understand one of the greatest battles in American history. It’s an adrenaline-inducing experience from start to finish that captures the heart and soul of the American spirit.
Jesse Kove was kind enough to share the following exclusive statement with us about taking on this film:
“I am thrilled for people to see the intense action and heroism that took place on D-DAY — especially THE STORY OF THE BATTLE OF POINTE DU HOC — where the platoon we portrayed landed and fought like hell.”
Below are the new posters.
